José Vera Matos (Lima 1981). He studied at the School of Visual Arts Edith Sachs and the National School of Fine Arts of Peru. He received the 2012 Scholarship from Robert Sterling Clark Foundation for Latin American artists to fullfill a residency in the Vermont Studio Center. His work has been shown in various solo and group exhibitions in cities such as Lima, Mexico City, Barcelona, Madrid, Puerto Rico, Bogota, Miami, New York, among others. He recently participated in the exhibition Superreal, Alternative Realities in photography and video in the Museum Quarter in New York. He currently lives and works in Lima.
